The spotlight on people of determination continued on the 2nd day of the Al Dhafra Book Festival 2023, organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, with the session " A Story of Hope: Educational Integration and Empowerment of People of Determination", in which Zaid Ghaleb and Zeyad Mahmoud, the two specialised teachers at the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, highlighted success stories, innovative programmes, and the holistic care provided by the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination to empower individuals with disabilities to lead better lives, aiming at fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone through collaborative efforts between families and the Organization.

Throughout the day, children and youth participated in a variety of artistic workshops, including drawing on frond with the visual artist Meitha Al Mazrouei, artistic sculpture on al khous with the visual artist Aisha Al Mansoori, the art of caricature drawing with the cartoonist Ashraf Hossam, and Arabic calligraphy with the calligraphist Ali Abdullah Al Hammadi, as well as a workshops on macro photography and portrait photography with the professional photographer Afra Al Marar.

On the other hand, the "Poetry Nights: Voices Loved by People" programme honoured the poet Rashid bin Futaima Al Mansoori with a session in Madinat Zayed public park, which combined poetry and melodies, delving into the poet’s life story, significant literary contributions, and his sung poems. The session was moderated by the poet Obaid bin Qadlan Al Mazrouei, with the artists Muaded Al Kaabi, Ali Al Blooshi, and Abdullah Abdulkarim participating in a musical performance of Al Mansoori’s poems.
